About Vere 360

How the journey

Reading Time: 4 min read
Some exciting news to share:

While building the web and mobile platform for Vere360, the Founders were already on the lookout for Investors. We didn’t have a MVP ready – but we had a foolproof idea and stellar wireframes and UI/UX designs done. The team was able to raise initial investment using the Wireframes and Designs only!

We knew our collaboration had potential – and we just experienced it!

Roadblocks on the way: Challenges we faced

Vere360 offers its users a platform for experience learning through immersive VR technology. Fascinating as the concept is, the company faced the challenge of internal skill-gap and a strict time crunch. The planned platform would offer the best of immersive and cognitive technology (AI and ML for data-driven analytics), and would be offered to students in South-East Asia through a mobile and web-platform.

Considering the diverse user base, i.e. students, educators, institutions, admin there was the additional challenge of seamless onboarding and adaptive learning implementation, keeping unique learning styles and levels in mind.

In addition, the platform required to be engaging so as to make learning fun and permanent. Security concerns were also to be addressed especially with reference to sharing video content. The estimated project timeline was a mere 20 weeks.

While we had been building mobile apps with AI solutions for some time now, the integration with VR capabilities would be a divergence for us too. Here’s to some of the obstacles we encountered:

User Diversity

Platform would cater to students, educators, institution from across South East Asia with separate Admin panel.

Adaptive Learning

AI tools to understand individual learning style, facilitating self paced learning, personalizing content etc.

Seamless Onboarding

Platform to support seamless onboarding of diverse users across devices and location

Online/remote learning to be facilitated with VR tools and engaging content to keep learning interactive

Content safety and security, especially during sharing videos and proprietary lesson plans

Project Timeline

Considering business plans, investments and goals, the MVP was targeted at 20 weeks development timeline

Our Strategy: How we got it right

To keep roadblocks minimal, we decided to approach the project in a phased manner. Phase 1 would include building a web-app interface to onboard institutions (via Admin panel) and educators/tutors, and students. In this phase tutors can upload, edit, share lessons to registered students (via their own model, YouTube,PDF, PPT). Students can download the app and attend ongoing classes (class code required), view offline content or through VR 360 Videos/images in 3D model.

In Phase 2 the platform would add interactive lesson features. In Phase 1 the focus would be more on content delivery to students through easily accessible interfaces and technology. In Phase 2 the platform would grow to make two-way communication feasible and VR video tech.

In Phase 3 the platform would scale to app development for institutions and educators as well. This would include upgrading to new features and functionalities, identifying better AI tech, plan intuitive UI/UX features and more.

Phase 1 Web &
Mobile App

  • Build web-app interface to onboard institutions (via Admin), educators and students
  • Access to educators/tutors to upload, edit, share lessons with registered students
  • Format supported PPTs, PDFs, YouTube or personal model
  • Mobile app for students to attend online/offline class (wit class code) and 3D models

Phase 2 2-way

  • Focus of Phase 1 is content delivery through accessible technology
  • Focus of Phase 2 would be on integrating VR functionalities and adding interactive lesson features (by building SDK using proprietary hardware + Google Glasses – suggestive)
  • Also, build capabilities for 2-way interactive communications
  • Include VR video technology and new 3D models

Phase 3 Scale/ Feature

  • Phase 3 would involve scaling the platform and building apps for educators and institutions
  • This phase would also include adding new features and functionalities, advanced use of AI technology, enhance UI/UX design elements, integrate with other platforms etc.
  • Market expansion across APAC

Final Words

Vere360 and Day One are on a journey together. The platform we built is easy-to-access, contemporary and thorough, with the latest technology stack, security features and VR integration. The objective of the education platform was to bring learning home and to spread empathy for learning especially for those who often lack the resources to access it. Through our collaboration, we have not only built a platform that offers a rich user experience, multimedia interactive content, seamless onboarding, but helping to make knowledge accessible to all.
